Eswatini businesses are getting more opportunities to grow in the US market, thanks to support from the Eswatini Investment and Promotion Authority (EIPA). With the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) extended until 2025, EIPA is working to help local companies make the most of this chance.
To make this happen, EIPA is organizing business missions and helping Eswatini businesses take part in major trade shows in the US. One of the big events for local companies this year is the 68th Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City, happening from June 29 to July 1. The show, held at the Javits Convention Centre, will be a great chance for Eswatini businesses to network, connect with industry leaders, and promote their products to a global crowd.
Eswatini’s fashion and textile industry will also have an exciting opportunity at the Magic Show in Las Vegas, set for February 10 to 12, 2025. This popular trade show brings the fashion world together, offering local businesses the chance to meet retailers, discover new trends, and build lasting relationships with industry professionals.
EIPA also supports local businesses through initiatives like the Eswatini National Excellence Awards (ENEXA). These awards recognize businesses that are making an impact in international markets and encourage others to use AGOA to grow. Nominations for ENEXA 2024 are open until February 9.
The AGOA program plays a key role in helping Eswatini businesses by providing duty-free access to the US market. This agreement strengthens trade between Eswatini and the US, creating new opportunities for local businesses. With EIPA’s help, Eswatini companies are not just entering the global market—they’re gaining the support they need to succeed.
